first time i am fine being below average

i was reading a random article on msn and come across these 10 funny facts about kissing, after reading through and giggling about some of them i came to the conclusion that this is the first thing in my life i can think of that i am honestly okay with being less than average. i mean honestly 29 guys before you get married (and by that i am not implying to kiss more guys after you are married) obviously it is a pretty normal number to kiss. i am just saying for me a kiss means something.......and i have quite the many boys to kiss before i hit 29!
enjoy these funny little facts.

1. Two out of every three couples turn their heads to the right when they kiss.
2. A simple peck uses two muscles; a passionate kiss, on the other hand, uses all 34 muscles in your face. Now that’s a rigorous workout!
3. Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two lip impressions are alike.
4. Kissing is good for what ails you. Research shows that the act of smooching improves our skin, helps circulation, prevents tooth decay, and can even relieve headaches.
5. The average person spends 336 hours of his or her life kissing.
6. Ever wonder how an “X” came to represent a kiss? Starting in the Middle Ages, people who could not read used an X as a signature. They would kiss this mark as a sign of sincerity. Eventually, the X came to represent the kiss itself.
7. Talk about a rush! Kissing releases the same neurotransmitters in our brains as parachuting, bungee jumping, and running.
8. The average woman kisses 29 men before she gets married.
9. Men who kiss their partners before leaving for work average higher incomes than those who don’t.
10. The longest kiss in movie history was between Jane Wyman and Regis Tommey in the 1941 film, You’re in the Army Now. It lasted 3 minutes and 5 seconds. So if you’ve beaten that record, it’s time to celebrate!

my dad

i sure love my dad. there are some things that i really admire in him and hope to be like him when i grow up!
he is always willing to help people
always gives me a hug
cooks amazing dinner
calls me on my phone just to say hi and see how my day is going
corrects me when i use a word incorrectly
rough on the outside but sweet on the inside
when he wants to get something done he does it

someday

apparently i am in a posting mood lately........ but i was reading this article today and came across this quote about being with the person you love. thought we could all use a little reminder that life is too quick to stress so much, and to cherish the people we love.

"I figure the best chance for a good night's sleep comes by ending the day as comfortably as you can. With nothing on your chest, no stress you're keeping secret. I figure you'd better be lying down next to a person you can tell your weirdest dreams, your darkest thoughts, your fruitiest feelings, your very worst fears."

someday i'll tell my secrets, until then here is another italy photo.

The big 20

well my birthday is coming up and people keep asking me what i want for my birthday so i thought i would find some stuff and put it on my blog, kill multiple birds with one post. i can't believe i am going to be 20, it seems like such an odd age to turn, no longer a teenager but still not legal. oh well might as well make the best of it, before i know it i will be legal!!there is this cute necklace at urban outfitters, this is the new york one but the london one is great too!! so cute.

cute brown tote, although any of the colors would be great. found at gap of course.

shoes found at journeystripod, Manfrotto is a great brand. found at Allens/Pictureline or any other photo store. i want more camera stuff but it seems kind of silly to buy stuff for my camera when i hope to be investing in a new camera sometime before i graduate. stefanie meyers new book.kelly clarkson's newest album, my december.p.s. i love you.

i started reading 'a tree grows in brooklyn' today, i only read the first chapter but it is a great book already, its got me hooked. and jess you may borrow it when i am done. hope everyone had a happy sunday, and dad i put music back on my blog just for you!!

addicted

well i have become addicted to something very bad. it is very addicting, i am not quite sure i can get over it alone. but friend therapy is not helping either, in fact i think my friends are making it worse! shopping is now my enemy for a completley different reason than not liking it. now i like it way too much!!

as a result of my new addiction i have cute new shoes and an empty pocket book......................at least i have my red high heels to show for it(ps they are not quite as dark as they appear on screen). i mean they are a staple item in every girls closet, you can wear them with anything and everything. in fact its better if they don't even match your outfit. anyway they came today in the mail, after i left for work of course, so i didn't get to wear them. dont worry i went and picked pizza up for my dad and completely changed my outfit so i could test them out. they were cute, and extremely comfy. i had to wear them since i won't be doing it tomorrow because it is casual friday. anyway i draw the line here, no more shopping for me, except that i have a 10$ reward card for gap, one of my favorite stores to splurge at and how do you only spend 10$ at gap, seriously? unfortunately i don't see this shopping addiction ending soon, it ranges from cute nylons to shoes to coats to shirts to skirts. whatever it is if it looks cute on ill buy it, how do i stop?
